The National Science & Engineering Competition is seeking the best young scientists and engineers in the UK. If you are a student aged 11-18 and have completed a project in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths you could enter and be in with a chance of winning amazing prizes!
The selected finalists will have the chance to showcase their work at The Big Bang.

CREST Awards give young people in the UK the chance to participate in real world projects across Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. In the 23 years the programme has been running, over 300,000 young people have acheived CREST awards, often mentored by STEM professionals from industry or academia. Winners of CREST regional fairs are invited to exhibit at The Big Bang and compete in the finals of the National Science & Engineering Competition.
The Big Bang will be the venue showcasing the best entries of the National Science & Engineering Competition as well as hosting the final judging and glitzy award ceremony. This exciting event, which will be held in Manchester in March 2010, inspires young people from across the UK in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Over 10,000 young people are expected to attend The Big Bang from schools across the UK.
Young Engineers encourages young people to get involved in engineering by running competitions, STEM challenge days and a network of extra-curricular engineering clubs across the UK. Finalists in Young Engineers' regional competitions have been invited to take part in the National Science & Engineering Competition and will be exhibiting their projects at The Big Bang.
